Mikael Daez says Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2012 will be last time he goes half-naked

Dahil sa bini-build up bilang isa sa mga leading men ng GMA-7 ang model-turned-actor na si Mikael Daez, mababawasan na raw ang pagpapa-pictorial niya nang sexy.

Aniya, kailangan na raw kasing wholesome ang image niya.

Gagampanan ni Mikael ang role na Carlos Miguel sa remake ng 2002 drama series na Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga.

Si Dingdong Dantes ang unang gumanap ng role na ito.

Pakiramdam ni Mikael, may responsibilidad na siyang dapat gampanan at imaheng dapat ingatan dahil sa oportunidad na ibinigay sa kanya ng Kapuso Network.

“Actually, wala naman silang sinabing tigilan ko ang mga sexy pictorials,” sabi ni Mikael nang makausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa press launch ng Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga, sa Excess Super Club sa Timog, Quezon City, nung nakaraang Huwebes, August 23.

“They know for a fact na nagsimula ako bilang model on print, ramp, and commercial.

“Siguro ako na rin ang kusang magbabawas sa ganyan, kasi nga iba na ang pag-build up sa atin.

“Hindi naman tayo bini-build up as a sex symbol, kundi isang leading man sa isang drama series.

“So, it’s all up to me and my management kung ano ang mga next step na gagawin namin for this new image of mine.

“I know that it will be starting all over again.

“But if it will benefit me and my career now, ok lang na magsimula ulit tayo ng bagong image.

“Para lang bumagay sa mga ginagawa ko ngayon,” pahayag pa ng 24-year-old na binata.

Sexy photos

Hindi kaila sa lahat na maraming sexy photos ni Mikael ang nagkalat sa Internet.

Galing daw ang mga iyon sa mga ginawa niyang photo shoots para sa iba’t ibang photographers, designers, at products.

“Karamihan naman ay topless ako. Yun kasi ang gusto ng kliyente, e,” nakangiting sabi ni Mikael.

“Kailangan daw may ipakitang abs, muscles. Basta bentahe yung katawan talaga.

“Ok lang naman, because model naman ako and I’m just following instructions.

“Normal na working day iyon for any male model.”

Sa isang fashion show nga raw ay kinailangan niyang magsuot ng underwear at rumampa sa harap ng maraming tao.

“They were really short-shorts. But I guess, underwear na rin siya kung titingnan mo!” sabay tawa niya.

“Wala ka namang choice, e. You have to wear it kasi kasama iyon sa trabaho mo.

“Pero may suot naman ako sa upper body ko. So, hindi masyadong vulgar tingnan.

“So, I wore it and I walked out. Kailangan maging confident ka lang.

“Kung awkward ka, mahahalata iyon, e. Just walk like it’s a normal thing.”

Last time to see a sexy Mikael

Wala pang tiyak na date, pero tuwing pumapasok na ang mga huling buwan ng taon nagaganap ang Cosmopolitan Bachelor Party.

Ang wildly-received event, kung saan nagtitilian ang kababaihan at kalalakihan na rin sa mga nagrarampang mga lalaki, ay inii-sponsor Cosmopolitan Philippines, isang publication ng Summit Media, na siya ring naglalabas ng YES! Magazine. Ang Cosmopolitan Magazine ay edited by Myrza Sison.

“I really worked out for this event. I hit the gym almost every other day. I want to look good for this.

“Since this will be my last time that people will see me half-naked, itodo na natin, di ba?

“I want that night to be memorable para sa mga girls sa audience.”

Andrea to attend

Darating nga raw sa naturang event ang kanyang leading lady sa Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga na si Andrea Torres.

“She will attend the event to show her support sa akin,” nakangiting sabi ni Mikael.

“First time niya yatang a-attend ng ganung event and she is clueless as to what’s going to happen.

“Sinabi ko naman sa kanya na mag-enjoy lang siya sa mga makikita niya!” natatawang sabi pa ng Kapuso hunk.

Surprise for audience

May naisip na ngang gimik si Mikael na gagawin niya sa stage para hindi siya malimutan ng female audience.

“It will be a surprise!” tawa uli niya.

“Lahat naman ng napiling bachelors, may iniisip na gimik nila, di ba?

“They show this, they hold that, and they throw something to the audience.

“I want to do something different, na alam kong hindi agad malilimutan ng mga tao roon.

Kris Bernal Relieved To Recover Stolen Bag

MANILA, Philippines --- Kapuso star Kris Bernal deems it a blessing that her stolen bag has been returned to her though without her driver’s licence and credit cards.

“Please, ibalik mo na lahat – di ako makapagmaneho!” she said in mock pleading tone at the party tendered for her by GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) on June 5.

Curiously, the bag, an expensive one, still contained her wallet when it was returned anonymously.

The minor setback could never mar the happiness Bernal has these days. Aside from the party – her first “big one” in five years since entering show business – her TV series “Hiram Na Puso” enjoys a huge following.

More, rumors have sprung that she and co-star Mark Herras are beginning to fall for each other – which would’ve been fine if he doesn’t have a girlfriend, Ynna Asistio.

“Kaya nga nung naging ganun ang labas, nagtext ako kay Ynna at nagsorry sa kanya sa mga balita. Inexplain ko na tuksuhan lang yun ng staff at ng ibang mga tao. Naintindihan naman niya at lalo akong humanga sa kanya,” Kris said.

But if there were no Ynna, will she fall for Mark?

“Mabait na tao si Mark, masipag. Pero sa ngayon ay talagang magkaibigan kami at ayaw naming lagyan yon ng kahit ano.”

She admitted that Mark has given her five Hello Kitty pillows for her birthday, but largely due to her “insistence.” Apparently, the two banter on the set during break time. The birthday gift, she said, was something she had chided Mark to give her.

“Closer na kami ni Mark ngayon compared to the time when we were doing ‘Time Of My Life.’ Dati kasi dun lang si Mark nakikipagkwentuhan sa mga boys while ako naman stay with the girls,” Bernal explained.

She quickly reiterated yet again that no romance brews between her and Mark and that she had even invited the couple to her bash. Kris said that Mark and Ynna begged off the last minute due to a family thing.

Asked what she wishes for the months ahead, Kris rattled off the expected.

“More endorsements, mas madaming magazine covers, more challenging roles…”

Though she did not reveal much detail, Kris disclosed that her next project on GMA-7 will reunite her with Aljur Abrenica, who was once rumored to have courted her.
