SINGAPORE — OPPO introduced its latest addition to the N series with the N3 – the world’s first smartphone to feature an automated swivel camera, and the R5, the world’s thinnest full high-definition phone, measuring just 4.85mm in width.
“OPPO’s N3 and R5 was built and designed with our users in mind. We took what our users loved about the N1 and made it even better,” said Sky Li, General Manager of OPPO’s overseas mobile phone business. “The N3 and R5 is a perfect demonstration of our commitment to design and innovation.”

Additionally, the camera can take panoramic and wide-angle shots with a simple click activating the automatic rotation to capture images – in both landscape and portrait modes. Its 16-megapixel camera can take high resolution images for high quality prints.
Furthermore, the camera showcases OPPO’s unique target-tracking focus shift function, this means that all its users need to do is to identify the target in focus and the camera will constantly modify its angle to follow the moving target both for photos and videos.

The phone also includes OPPO’s VOOC mini rapid charging system, wherein a 30-minute charge will provide 75% battery, and a five- minute charge allows for a two-hour call.
World’s thinnest smartphone
The OPPO R5, on the other hand, is the first smart phone to measure less than 5mm thick. The R5 is equipped an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939, and comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen.
“We used cutting edge manufacturing techniques to create a phone that fits perfectly into the users’ hands, and that feels incredible,” said Sky Li. “The frame has been forged nine times and then finished by hand to give a perfect sheen and feel. It has a quality that is not available anywhere else in the industry.”
