OPPO redefines mobile with latest mobile products

SINGAPORE — OPPO introduced its latest addition to the N series with the N3 – the world’s first smartphone to feature an automated swivel camera, and the R5, the world’s thinnest full high-definition phone, measuring just 4.85mm in width.

“OPPO’s N3 and R5 was built and designed with our users in mind. We took what our users loved about the N1 and made it even better,” said Sky Li, General Manager of OPPO’s overseas mobile phone business. “The N3 and R5 is a perfect demonstration of our commitment to design and innovation.”

Innovative smartphone camera

The N3 brings back the rotating camera but this time with an added function – automation.

The N3’s camera has the ability to rotate 206-degrees and is capable of taking pictures using its free-stop and multi-angle shooting features, creating a unique experience in mobile technology and mobile photography.

Additionally, the camera can take panoramic and wide-angle shots with a simple click activating the automatic rotation to capture images – in both landscape and portrait modes. Its 16-megapixel camera can take high resolution images for high quality prints.

Furthermore, the camera showcases OPPO’s unique target-tracking focus shift function, this means that all its users need to do is to identify the target in focus and the camera will constantly modify its angle to follow the moving target both for photos and videos.

It also features mobile camera lens technology developed in partnership with Germany’s Schneider Optics, leaders in the optical industry and the latest generation 16 megapixel camera that can take 64 megapixel high-resolution image.

The N3 also includes the next generation of OPPO’sPure Image processing technology, the PI 2.0 plus. The PI 2.0 plus will complete the white balance settings, brightness adjustment, auto focus, face recognition and other actions intelligently before the user press the shutter button bringin the user experience equivalent to that of a professional DSLR camera.

Inside the N3

The OPPO N3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU packed with 32GB ROM and 2GB RAM, plus a 5.5-inch screen made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for clarity and durability.

The phone also includes OPPO’s VOOC mini rapid charging system, wherein a 30-minute charge will provide 75% battery, and a five- minute charge allows for a two-hour call.

World’s thinnest smartphone

The OPPO R5, on the other hand, is the first smart phone to measure less than 5mm thick. The R5 is equipped an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939, and comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen.

“We used cutting edge manufacturing techniques to create a phone that fits perfectly into the users’ hands, and that feels incredible,” said Sky Li. “The frame has been forged nine times and then finished by hand to give a perfect sheen and feel. It has a quality that is not available anywhere else in the industry.”

In addition, the R5 is the world’s first smartphone that uses phase-change material, keeping it at a constant cool temperature whilst maintaining functionality. The R5’s patented heat dissipation technology “Cool Element” protects its octa-core CPU, in turn prolonging the life of the phone.

Stainless steel body

The R5 is built with first-grade steel and designed with a micro-arc frame to make the entire device smooth and strong. It also includes OPPO’s VOOC mini rapid charging system.

“The R5, like the rest of the R series delivers a truly stylish, exquisite and distinctive design and will continue to delight our customers with its innovative yet practical functions,” added Sky Li.

The N3 and the R5 will be available in the Philippines before the year ends.
