Hackers target ‘Game of Thrones’; data, script stolen — HBO

NEW YORK — U.S. cable channel HBO said on Monday that hackers had stolen upcoming programming, and Entertainment Weekly reported that the theft included a script for an unaired episode of the hit fantasy show “Game of Thrones”.

HBO, a unit of Time-Warner Inc, declined to comment on the specific programming stolen in the hack.

“As most of you have probably heard by now, there has been a cyber incident directed at the company which has resulted in some stolen proprietary information, including some of our programming,” HBO Chairman Richard Plepler wrote in a message to employees, which the company shared with reporters.

The company declined to comment on reports that unbroadcast episodes and scripts were among the data hacked, citing an “ongoing investigation” by unspecified law enforcement officials.

Entertainment Weekly reported that hackers stole 1.5 terabytes of data and had already posted online unbroadcast episodes of “Ballers” and “Room 104,” along with “a script or treatment” for next week’s episode of “Game of Thrones”.

Reuters also received an e-mail on Sunday from a person claiming to have stolen HBO data, including “Game of Thrones”.

The show is now in its seventh season and due to wrap up next year.

Katya Santos, Maui Taylor mentor Viva’s new batch of sexy stars

Katya Santos and Maui Taylor are sizzling up the boob tube again. And they have six newcomers with them who are all hoping to follow in their footsteps to become the next “pantasya ng bayan”.

The Viva Hot Babes headliners are currently hosting “Pantaxa” (pronounced “pantasya”), a new reality show on their home studio’s recently launched cable channel, Viva Channel.

“Pantaxa” follows Katya and Maui as they mentor a bunch of new sexy stars. The twice-weekly series sees the two screen veterans putting the younger girls through various challenges and activities that test their physical, mental, and emotional capabilities to handle the demands of the path that they have chosen to take in showbiz.

“People think it’s easy being a sexy star,” Maui notes. “It’s not. Baring your body in front of the cameras for everyone to see takes a lot of courage, determination, and self-awareness.”

Katya agrees. “Being sexy is not just about disrobing. It’s about making people see that there’s something beyond the flesh. Because it’s what will establish a deeper connection with the audience, which will have them wanting and coming back for more.”

Bringing out the “something beyond the flesh” is what show hopes to achieve with its six screen-seductresses-in-training.

The “Pantaxa” women of the current season are Jade Lopez, Yam Concepcion, Jef Gaitan, Alexis Navarro, Sara Polverini, and Carla Castelo.

The first few episodes saw Katya leading the girls through a lingerie pictorial, a mock TV commercial shoot for a fake brand endorsement, and a sexy music video shoot.

Maui has come in as a mid-season addition, joining the eposodes that were recently shot in Caramoan and the CWC complex in Camarines Sur.

These episodes promise a lot of baring and daring as the girls had to do a topless pictorial and a nude painting session, among a host of activities.

Reports from the set say that some claws have surfaced and there was some heat among some of the girls both on- and off-cam.

“Our ultimate goal, really, is to make these girls totally comfortable in their skin,” Katya says. “We want them to own their bodies. That’s the only way for them to have full control. It’s the best way to make their presence felt in anything that they do, whether it’s a pictorial or a live event or a movie.”

Sarah, Anne, KC headline Viva TV’s cable offerings

Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, and KC Concepcion headline the flagship programs of Viva TV, the Viva Entertainment Group’s latest foray into cable television.

Viva’s top three leading ladies star in their own original shows for the channel whose line-up of programs tilts towards reality programming.

Their shows will follow them as they attend their various showbiz engagements and go about their professional commitments.

The weekly 30-minute programs are entitled “@nnebishowsa”, “Popstar Diaries”, and “kc.com”, respectively.

“Viva TV is the first local cable channel that offers 100 percent new and original Filipino content,” notes Vincent del Rosario, executive vice president of Viva Communications Inc. “We really steered clear of the kind of shows that viewers can watch on network TV.”

Viva TV is also home to the first regular television shows of ace comedian Jon Santos and Youtube sensation Ashley Rivera, who is more popularly known for her funny girl character Petra Mahalimuyak.

“The Jon Santos Show” is a weekly one-hour talk show featuring Jon’s gallery of characters including Sherap Espada, Armeeda Siguion Macareyna, and Meeryam Santiago.

Ashley makes the jump from the internet to television with “Petra’s Panniest”, a 30-minute program showcasing a round-up of the funniest scenes from Viva movies and videos from the internet. The show airs three times a week.

Another Viva TV banner show is a reality series called “Pantaxa”. Hosted by erstwhile “pantasya ng bayan” Katya Santos and Maui Taylor, the show follows 6 of the sexiest, most promising new young actresses in showbiz as they dare and bare their body, mind, heart and soul in their search for stardom.

“We have more original shows in various stages of development that we hope to launch within the next few months,” del Rosario says. “Our main aim is to provide the best all-Pinoy alternative viewing fare to local TV audiences.”

Viva TV debuts nationwide this month through most cable operators, including Cignal.
