Amy Perez leaves TV5 ‘due to personal reasons’, network wishes her well

Amy Perez will no longer be a part of “Face the People”, TV5′s revitalized reformat of “Face to Face”, the hit show she had resigned from in July.

When the upcoming show was announced last month, the network said it will bring together Amy and Gelli de Belen, who had hosted “Face to Face” during Amy’s lengthy maternity leave till early this year.

Instead, “Face the People” will now be hosted by Gelli and Tintin Bersola-Babao.

“TV5 Management and Ms Amy Perez have mutually agreed to part ways. TV5 respects the decision of  Ms. Perez to leave the Network due to personal reasons.  She had been a valuable talent of TV5 and we wish her well and the best of luck in her future endeavors,” TV5 said in an official statement on Saturday.

Amy had quit “Face to Face” in July after a falling out with members of the production staff. She will no longer be seen in any TV5 show, including “The Good Morning Club”. She has likewise left her radio program on Radyo Singko DWFM 92.3FM.

In her Twitter account, Amy told her followers that she has moved to another radio station, 106.7 Energy FM.

“I will forever be grateful. Thank you for the memories,” she tweeted without directly referring to TV5.
