Martin Escudero remains positive about his career sans manager
Masayang-masaya ako kasi stress-free,” Martin Escudero stated as he greeted InterAksyon and other media during last week’s press launch of Yes! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars.
The young actor, who was among the Kapatid stars who made the list, was in the news a couple of months ago when he decided to leave former manager Popoy Caritativo after seven years.
Martin admitted in past interviews that the decision was born out of months of deliberation and consultations with people close to him and his family. Although he was vague about his reasons for leaving, he did hint at problems with trust and money.
He was brave enough to admit however, that life without a manager is proving difficult.
Still, Martin revealed that he is not in a hurry to get a new manager at the moment.
Martin’s contract with TV5 expires in January but he announced that he has projects lined up with his home network.
“May nabalitaan ako na malapit na rin mag-umpisa so sana kung loloobin ng Diyos na mangyari,” he said.
He is also starting on a new indie movie come September.
Strikto sila. May pinirmahan pa kaming contract na bawal magbigay ng detalye,” he said.
Although not limited to stereotypes during his time with his former manager, Martin revealed that he is willing to go bolder and more daring with his roles in the future.
Mahirap pilitin eh, baka maumay lang yung tao sa akin,” he said.
