Bea Binene On To Bigger Things

After the success of “Alice Bungingis and Her Wonder Walis,” Bea Binene is set to conquer primetime as one of the second generation of the much-talked about twins, Luna Blanca.

Considered as one of the prettiest and busiest tween stars of GMA Artist Center (GMAAC), the 14-year-old Bea is certainly happy with her latest project.

“I’m happy na nakasama ko sa new show yung mga tweens na naging ka-close ko na talaga, since we’ve worked na before sa ‘Tween Hearts,’ ‘Party P.,’ and sa ‘Alice,’” she said.

Bea reveals how she has prepared for the role. “I read the script talaga, tapos kahit papano I make sure nakapanood ako [‘Luna Blanca’] para makita ko yung 1st gen, yung habits and acting ni Jill. I also take tips from the acting coach, Direk Dom.”

The tween star has also released her debut album titled “Hey, It’s Me, Bea,” that has zoomed number two in local sales charts. The album contains the songs “Urong Sulong,” “Mahal Kita, Walang Iba,” (Ogie Alcasid), “Sayang Na Sayang,” and more.

Bea believes in the power of prayer and follows to heart her family’s – especially her mom’s – advices to keep believing in her dreams and to stay firmly on the ground.

Helping other people also keeps Bea going. Aside from being an active volunteer in GMA Kapuso Foundation and Haribon Foundation, she has her own charity, “Bea Binene Cares.”

“It started December 2011 and ngayon we’re planning to launch our 2nd project. Planning stage pa lang talaga but since ngayon, wala pa, active pa rin ako with the two other foundations that I’m supporting.”

With her kind spirit, it’s no wonder so many blessings come her way that have enabled her to save enough money to buy a new condo. “It’s around U-belt lang para pag nag-college ako, mas accessible. 3 years ago, I bought a condo na pre-selling. ‘Yun yung napundar ko, from my projects, para may pagtutuunan ako ng savings.”
