Father's Day health on 'Pinoy MD'

This Saturday, Pinoy MD celebrates Father’s Day by addressing health issues that commonly plague Filipino men. Together with broadcast journalist Connie Sison, dermatologist Dra. Jean Marquez, Oncologist Doc Dave Ampil II at OB-Gynecologist Dr. Raul “Dr. Q” Quillamor, Pinoy MD also offers a dose of “serbisyong totoo” for a single-dad in need.
According to experts, snoring is more common among men than women. In some countries, it is reason enough for a wife to file for divorce. In the Philippines however, it is considered a sign of a deep and restful slumber. Unknown to some Filipinos, snoring may be a symptom of a more serious illness. Find out the real truth about snoring from the sleep experts.
Having a skin care regimen is not exactly a priority for many Filipino men. Some believe it’s not a “guy” thing while others simply have no idea what a skin care regimen is. The fact is, according to dermatologists, men should take extra care of their skin because among other things, they have bigger pores and tend to sweat more. This results in more pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and a host of other ugly problems. Dr. Jean Marquez dishes out advice for men on what type of sunblock is best and why facial cleansers and moisturizers aren’t just for women.
Pinoy MD also gives assistance to a 37 year-old single dad who has lost the use of both his legs. Despite his condition, Ramil strives to fulfil his responsibilities to his children by taking on three jobs. To make Father’s Day truly memorable, self-confessed daddy’s girl Barbie Forteza offers him an unforgettable surprise.
Pinoy MD airs every Saturday, 6:00-7:00 am on GMA7.
