‘PBB Unlimited’ Big Winner Slater reveals post-show plan

“I’d really love to try my hand in showbiz,” Slater said in a live studio interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, not a whole day after the Big Night held at the Quirino Grandstand.

In a VTR aired prior to the interview proper, Slater’s father revealed that he had been receiving modeling offers during college, “but he stopped it because we want him to finish his education.”

Asked with whom he wants to work opposite in a project, Slater named his closest female co-housemates Divine Smith and Tin Patrimonio, as well as actresses KC Concepcion, fellow Cebuano and “PBB Teen Edition” housemate Kim Chiu, and showbiz crush Anne Curtis.

Despite admitting that he can’t sing and dance, and being “unsure” about acting, Slater said, “I’d like to think I have something different to offer [to the industry]… Well, napakita [ko] naman sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya kung ano ang kaya ko. I have the brains.”

Slater was joined in the Big Four by Pamu Pamorada, Joseph Biggel and Paco Evangelista who won first, second and third place respectively. In a separate interview on the same episode of “The Buzz,” Paco said that he and Slater have a “love-hate relationship” due to their constant clashes while inside the house.

“Oo, kasi he brings out the best and the worst in me rin. Parang nakikita lahat ng sides ko ‘pag siya ‘yung kaharap ko,” Slater said.

Recall that in a particular “PBB” episode, the two had a heated argument about letting former housemates from previous editions as a challenge inside the house with Paco – who was then acting as a “house player ng bayan” – going as far as calling his fellow housemates “plastic.”

“Kasi it was targeted to all of us, so parang… okay lang sana if it was a difference in opinions, pero parang, ‘di ba we were arguing about opening the door nga [to let the housemates in]. Tapos dumating kasi sa point na ‘yung plastikan na ‘yung sinasabi, so hindi na siya about decisions lang. Napikon ako do’n,” Slater related.

However, he quickly clarified that they are now “good friends.”

The hosts of “The Buzz” also probed Slater’s closeness with Tin and Divine while inside the House. Apparently Divine, who’s openly gay and is currently in a relationship, was Slater’s crush.

“She’s been my crush since day one so… She has attitude, she’s hot,” Slater said.

But queried if he has plans of pursuing her, he laughingly answered, “I see her as someone I can just talk to… Her girlfriend’s hot too.”

On Tin, Slater said, “Si Tin, grabe, sobrang attractive ng personality. She’s one of my closest friends din. After Divine, I think Tin.”

Meanwhile, Slater remains in a daze after winning.

“Parang panaginip pa rin lahat. Grabe. Parang ‘di ko in-expect ‘to,” he admitted.

He then took the opportunity to thank his supporters, who managed to push him on top with 40.02% of text votes.

“Big thanks to my family and to all the people that supported me… I’m speechless… Pero thank you so much. ‘Yun lang talaga. You made my dream come true,” Slater said.
